There is only limited space available and the organisers like to give everyone a fair go at having a stall with them, which I totally understand.
This comes less than a week after finding out that Mathilda's Market has cancelled their scheduled "Christmas Market" on 6th November here in Hobart. The July market was very slow and most of the stallholders only just broke even. This was mainly due (in my opinion) to the high stallholder fee of $200. They also advised me that at this stage they have no plans to return to Hobart in 2011.
At this stage I have no markets booked for the remainder of the year, however if that changes I will let you all now. Don't forget that you can still order anytime from my online shop and I always welcome custom orders, so let me know if I can help you out with a special Christmas gift.
Hope everyone has a fabulous week.
Oh, Sonia, how frustrating and disappointing for you. At least your other 'little venture' seems to be going well! J x
ReplyDeleteThanks Jane, oh well these things happen. Yes I am getting busy with WillowBlu, so it's all good. xo
ReplyDeleteGood grief!
ReplyDelete$200 stall holder fee's - how to recover that is so hard in Tasmania for one day of trade.
Good luck with the markets next year - we really run short on options here on the island.
Great sale by the way ;)
